This is a numerical code used by healthcare professionals to identify and describe medical services and procedures performed on a patient. These codes are maintained and updated by the American Medical Association (AMA).

First, we do much more than therapeutic massage. We provide clinical grade treatment for: acute and chronic pain, chronic muscular tension, posture correction, movement dysfunction, and injury/surgery recovery. These advanced therapies fall under Prehab and Recovery categories. Our team members can assist you in selecting the correct treatment/CPT code. Here is a guide for you:

CPT 97124 – Thai Sport Massage.  Massage therapy techniques to increase circulation, promote tissue relaxation to the muscles, relieve minor pain, and maintain musculoskeletal (MSK) wellness.

CPT 97140 – Neuromuscular Therapy. Advanced therapy for acute and chronic pain. Provides soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release.

CPT 97140 – Prehab Therapy.  Advanced therapy for chronic muscular tension, movement dysfunction, and posture correction that contributes to pain and poor performance. Uses soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and PNF techniques. Treatment is targeted by an MSK diagnosis using Phy Body Analysis.

CPT 97112 – Deepwave Therapy.  Advanced techniques for chronic pain, injury and surgery recovery. Uses neuromuscular re-education of movement, balance, coordination, kinesthetic sense, and proprioception. Rapidly resolves pain, increases strength, and corrects compensation using patented technology from ARPwave.

How To Get Started

These are the recommended steps to take in order to make your life easy in getting reimbursed.

  1. Inquire if your policy allows out of network reimbursement for any of the following CPT procedure codes: 97124, 97140, or 97112. Ask if you must have a prescription authorized from your doctor.

  2. If you need a prescription, contact your physician and request a prescription for the CPT code you need from us and why. It can often be done by a tele-health phone call.

  3. Let us know when you are approved (they usually contact us too) and complete the SuperBill request form (see below). Have your insurance information ready such as policy and group number to enter into your request.

  4. At the end of each month, we will email a special insurance-coded document called a SuperBill. Just email the bill to your carrier for repayment!
